What changes does the plumbing industry need to prevent these serious problems with dire consequences?

complex issues

PWH is widely recognised within the commercial plumbing industry, plumbers licensing board and key commercial suppliers – as a point of reference for complex issues.

the PWH story

Philip Woolhouse (Director) has over 30 years’ experience in the plumbing, construction and building services sector.  Entering the industry as a 16-year-old apprentice plumber from Christchurch, New Zealand, Philip was taught from the beginning not just to fix the problem, but to understand why it occurred.  This is an important ethos that has remained with Philip throughout his career.

Phil Woolhouse Hydraulics was formed by Philip Woolhouse (Director) in 2013, to provide two core streams of expertise:

  • Hydraulic design service – new builds
  • Specialist hydraulic consultancy – existing assets

Hydraulic Design Service

Design and documentation of hydraulic services from conceptual studies, contract documentation to construction administration across a wide range of industries including residential, commercial, industrial, hospitality, and public facilities.

Specialist Hydraulic Consultancy

Philip Woolhouse is widely recognised in the Australian industry as a specialist in the resolution of complex installed hot and cold water system issues and is regularly sought out to determine the root cause and make recommendations to rectify such issues.

From an extensive knowledge base and significant research on the performance and efficiency of potable water systems, PHW provides independent technical reports incorporating system analysis and performance measuring using state of the art technology to determine defects and/or inefficiencies within an existing system and recommendations to rectify across a wide range of industries including hospitals, aged care facilities and multi-residential apartments.

Philosophy

The key philosophy of PWH is to provide a design service that not only delivers a coast effective and compliant solution, but also is driven by improved energy efficiency, minimised risk of materials degradation, reduced wastage, and improved water quality for longevity of the system.

These aspects are key considerations for commercial buildings and public infrastructure applications such as hospitals, apartment buildings, hotels and nursing homes.
